| Sergeant George
Frederick Carter was an air gunner on Halifax V, serial number
LL-181, coded SE-Q on the night of January 28/29 during an
operation to Berlin. The aircraft was lost along with four other
431 Squadron Halifaxes during the raid, the crash site and cause
of loss were never established, all of the crew were killed. They
are buried at the Berlin 1939-45 War Cemetery. |
