1945. The aircraft departed from Snaith at 1848hrs but failed
to return. Six of the crew, including Sgt Annis lost their lives, they are
buried
at the Becklingen
War Cemetery.

Sergeant Leslie Annis RAFVR
was born on the 4th April 1924 and was the son of. Henry and Elsie
Annis of 90 Granville Street, Grimsby. He worked at Grimsby Post Office prior to
enlisting, where he is remembered on a plaque dedicated to all who worked there
who lost their lives. He had 4 sisters and one brother.
