| Sergeant Kenneth
Evans
was serving as Flight Engineer on board Lancaster Mk. II DS-740 coded QO-Z during an operation to Braunschweig on January 14/15 1944. The
aircraft failed to return from this operation and all hands onboard
were lost when it crashed 6km from Northeim.
The crew were initially buried at
Lagerhausen but were later re-interred at Hanover War Cemetery.
