Flight Sergeant Norman Lumgair was piloting Lancaster Mk.II LL637 coded EQ-P during an operation to Stuttgart on March 15/16, 1944. The aircraft departed Linton-on-Ouse at 1918hrs but was shot down by a night fighter and crashed near Selestat, France. The entire crew was lost.
