Pilot Officer Lloyd Beer was

EQ-F during an operation to Augsburg on February 25/26, 1944. The
aircraft left Linton-on-Ouse at 2111hrs, but failed to
return.

In a sad
twist of fate Lloyd and his crew were nearly completed their
tour of operations when they were shot down, they had
previously completed 27 trips. Lloyd's brother Robert would
also serve in Bomber Command and completed a tour of
operations with 431 Squadron.
Lloyd
and the five other men in his crew that lost their lives are
buried in Durnback War Cemetery.
