Sergeant Edwin Fidler - RAFVR

 
 Sergeant Edwin Fidler was serving as Navigator aboard Lancaster Mk. III ND-649 coded TL-C during an operation to Frankfurt March 22/23, 1944. The aircraft took off from Graveley at 1845hrs and crashed approximately 16 km from Frankfurt killing everyone aboard including Sgt Fidler. The crew is buried at Durnbach War Cemetery.

Sergeant Edwin Gordon Fidler RAFVR was the son of Walter andLily Fidler of Edmonton, Middlesex.He was born on December 22nd 1922 and worked as a shipping clerk in the City of London. He was engaged to a woman named Nina at the time of his death.
