Sergeant Ronald Swann was serving as
Wireless Operator/Air Gunner on board Lancaster Mk.III
LM383 coded EM-R during an operation to Braunschweig
January 14/15, 1945. The aircraft left
Spilsby at 1644hrs but failed to return, six of the seven man
crew were killed including Sgt Ronald Swann.

Sergeant Ronald Ezra
Swann RAFVR was born in 1923 and was the son of Ezra and Ada
Swann of Eastwood, Nottingham. Ronald and the five other crew
members who died are buried in the War Cemetery at Hanover.
