Sergeant John Harold Dyer was serving as Wireless Operator/Air Gunner on board Lancaster Mk.III JB645 coded ZN-F on January 1/2, 1944 when it left its base at Metherington at 0005 hours for an operation to Berlin.

This Lancaster failed to return, the entire crew was lost.

All of the crew rest in the Berlin 1939-45 War Cemetery.
