Flight Sergeant Jean Albert Mark Turner - RCAF


 Flight Sergeant Mark Turner was serving as Wireless Operator/Air Gunner on board Wellington Mk.IC DV773 coded PM-J  during an operation to Essen on June 8, 1942. The aircraft departed Elsham Wolds at 2316 hours but was shot down by a nightfighter and crashed near Helmond in the Netherlands at 0230hrs. The entire crew was lost.

 Flight Sergeant Jean Albert Mark Turner enlisted in the RCAF in February 1941 at age 18, he and his crew are buried at Eindhoven General Cemetery.
